How this search works:
When you search, your input is converted into a mathematical representation (embedding) using Ollama, which runs locally on this server. The same process was applied to all congress content during indexing.
The search then compares these vectors to find content that is semantically similar to your query, even if it uses different words. For example, searching for "WLAN" will also find pages about "WiFi", even when the term "WLAN" does not appear on those pages, because the system understands that these concepts are related.
Privacy:
All processing happens locally on this server. Your search queries are converted to embeddings here and are not sent to external services like Google, OpenAI, or any other third party. Your data stays on this infrastructure and is not used for training external models.
